Boy Gets a Gator
I can hear the gnashing of teeth from all of the offended tree huggers out there but this is one of those stories that make me smile and remember that there are still normal folks out there in the world.

Switched to BlazeBlogger
I really like being able to keep all of my posts on my home PC and just upload them to the server after I write one. It eliminates the security concerns systems like WordPress and other server side set ups and honestly I just really don't need all of the fancy stuff.
I really don't blog enough to warrant all of that. I had at one time a system that I wrote myself that would let me write text files and it would then transform them and ftp them to my server but I let it go and honestly it was something of a pain to keep updated.
Well BlazeBlogger does pretty much everything my code did except for the automatic upload to the server but thats not a big deal as it is simple enough for me to sync the two directories after I write a post and if I really want to I could cobble together a perl script that I could run as a cron job once a night to sync the local and remote directory structures but as I said it really isn't worth the effort for the small amount that I actually blog.
So in short check BlazeBlogger if you need a simple command line based system managing a simple online presence.
