Finished listening to this awhile ago but didn't get around to posting about it. Worth listening to if you can stand all of the improbable coincidences that the story is filled with. One or two here and there are alright but this whole story is just one thing right after another. It's still good enough that you can kill some time with it but it does get a little tedious.

Infected
Across America a mysterious disease is turning ordinary people into raving, paranoid murderers who inflict brutal horrors on strangers, themselves, and even their own families.
I enjoyed Infected and found myself wearing my headphones around the house so that I could keep listening to the story. There is a lot of violence in this novel so it isn't for everyone, but if you enjoy a good anti-hero who has a whole pile of issues to work through then you will like this story. I do believe that I've an author that I will keep an eye on to what he writes.
As you follow the set of characters through the discovery of the disease which is threatening the United States the pace of the
novel moves between a headlong rush of, "Oh he is not going to do that! Damn, he did", and a more sedate pace during parts where
scientists are trying desperately to understand what is going on while being hampered by the need for secrecy.
This is one of the things that made this book so compelling to me. There are also some genuine funny moments that had me actually chuckling.
Contagious
From the acclaimed author of Infected comes an epic and exhilarating story of humanity’s secret battle against a horrific enemy.
Contagious continues on with our heroes and picks up right where Infected left off. Both of these podiobooks are well worth listening to in my opinion.

Book Reviews
I've been thinking about adding a dedicated book review section to the blog. Not anything technical mostly just my opinions. After all isn't that what book reviews are all about?
With my recent fascination with the podiobooks site and the availability of a wide variety of titles to choose from this seemed like a good time to add this category. Not to mention that the fact that these are audio books it allows me to listen to them at work. At least when what I am doing allows me to cruise on auto pilot.
I've already mentioned The Secret World Chronicles in three posts so I think that I will leave that series alone for awhile. It is pretty obvious that I enjoyed the three books that are out so far and will be listening to the fourth as Ms. Giguere releases the readings of episodes.
I will be starting out with a two book series by Scott Sigler, Infected and Contagious. The review will be in the next post.
