Amber Magic
I figured since there is a currently reading list in the sidebar now it made sense to have a list of the books that I've finished. You can see the whole list if click on the finished Category in the sidebar. So to kick this off I'm done with Amber Magic by B. V. Larson.
Amber Magic is the first book in his Haven series and is available for free from his website. It is a pretty short book and for the most part just introduces us to some of the characters that I assume will continue on through the other books. I won't go into detail here so that I won't give away anything of the story. I will say that it is an enjoyable read, not a page turner. I had no problem setting it down and doing other things, and it took about week for me to get through it in small doses. I will most likely buy the second one and see how it is. I do believe in supporting authors that self publish so that they can keep doing it.
Sky Magic Book 2 is available through Amazon for $2.99. Guess if I want it I will have to install
Amazons Kindle app for PC in virtual box so I can download it and figure out how to format shift it.
That has been something that I've been meaning to do for awhile now so here is my excuse.

Archos 70
These new gen8 android tablets from Archos caught my attention about a month ago and I have been coveting them ever since. They range in screen size from 3.2 inches to 10.1 inches. The one that has caught my attention the most is the 7 inch 70 tablet. It looks like it will be big enough to use while still being small enough to fit into a hand easily.
Once these come out in October I think that I will just almost have to have one. Right now it looks like they will ship with android 2.1 but 2.2 will be available for upgrade.
Update
The Archos 70 is up for preorder at JR.com . Found this little tidbit at the ArchosFans forum site. I'm wondering when newegg.com will start offering them.

Books Section
Added a new section to the site titled Books. These are public domain books that I have converted from text to one of the formats that I use for e-reading. There isn't much there right now but I will be adding more as time goes by. All of the books listed are no longer under copyright in the United States.
The two formats that I use the most are the imp format used by the ebookwise 1150, and the Fiction Book2 format which my Astak EZReader can use. The ebookwise is an older LCD screen reader that was the first dedicated reading device that I purchased. Up till then I had been reading on palm handheld devices. The Astak is an E-ink screen device that supports a lot of different formats. Alas imp isn't one of them so I end up doing conversions on everything to create two formats because I still use my ebookwise almost as much as I do the EZReader.

Spiders
We always have one or two of these guys on the front porch every year. I always leave them alone as long as their webs aren't across the front door.
